Starting the year off with an injury has turned into a slow start for the year. I’m struggling a bit with motivation. But I’ll pull through.

Personal Kindness

  • I wrote a card this week. One of the directors in my company was retiring and we all wrote personal cards and letters to her. It feels nice to express to someone how they’ve effected you and I hope to do it more often. I have a few blank cards in my office that are dying to be sent.

Self Care

  • I started working out again after resting up and letting my injury heal. I do PIIT28  and really enjoy it. I did one round after Thanksgiving and felt a lot stronger. It’s nice to get out of bed and get on the mat.
  • It was Groundhog Day yesterday. This is one of my favorite days of the year. One, because it a holiday based on a magical fortune telling groundhog. And two, because it’s a good reason to celebrate a random day in February. I got myself my favorite foods and wished everyone I saw a happy day.
